A bit about us...

Firstly, we would like to thank you for finding us here at Create in Whitstable, as a fellow lover of art and textiles we hope to meet you one of our courses soon.

As well as getting creative at home, Teresa and I have both been lucky enough to work within professions where we have been able to embody our passion for textiles, art and fashion.

Teresa is a qualified motivational Textile and Art teacher (M.A, M. RES) who had many years of teaching Textiles and Art and Design to all levels using elements of line, shape, colour, tone and texture in fabric, thread and mixed media. A keen advocate of using nature, the environment, art galleries and museums for inspiration.

Teresa has been sharing her creative projects via social media in her natural fun and quirky manner all through lockdown and has been a lifeline for some who have found her on-line classes and mindful approach hugely supportive and beneficial.

After graduating from Leeds University with a BA Hons in Fashion Design I have worked in the fashion industry for 16 years. Initially in bespoke bridal couture then onto garment production, later specializing in fabric development and sourcing and more recently focusing on organic, recycled, and sustainable sources.

We have lots of exciting ideas for Create in Whitstable so watch this space for new courses and workshops to come later this year and next year…

Thank you

Tess & Teresa
